A Few of My Favorite Things {5 minute friday}





I am joining with Gypsymama for a five minute un-edited free-write.

A few of my favorite things...

May lilacs, morning coffee, red wine and deep dark chocolate, kisses from children, hugs from my husband, mail in the mailbox, new pens and stationery, rainy days and summer storms, green grass, green leaves, green walls, green!

my mom's pink peonies, my limelight hydrangeas, my sister brushing her cheek against mine, sunrises, sunsets, brand new books, magazines full of photos and recipes, babies' bottoms, neck breaking hugs from boys, "pray for me Mom", "You're the best mom in the world",  "I love you the world"

movie popcorn, worn in jeans, scarves and dangly jewelry, ocean waves, beach breezes, date nights with my husband, walks in the woods, drives through the mountains and so much more...

    Great list!

    I certainly am looking forward to the lilacs and peonies!

    And always new books and magazines, for sure!

    Kindred spirits for sure...wow. I love, love, love the picture of your boys. There is so much caring there, and I can just hear the ocean. Just lovely. Peace to you.

Locally Grown {stuffed green peppers recipe}

Saturday Surfing {favorite spots from around the web}

Saturdays are the perfect time for a little aimless web-wandering and here are few of my recent reads I'd like to recommend to you. Petals :: 52 Photos Project

Where I live the Bradford Pears have bloomed and blown and the Cherry Blossoms are in full blossom.  Even though that means our allergy season is now officially underway, I cannot help opening our windows every morning in hopes of hearing the birds singing to greet the day.  Springtime has conveniently coincided with my personal recovery process from knee surgery.  As I am slowly re-gaining mobility on crutches it seems an added encouragement that the weather is also improving and the trees are welcoming my return with their flowers. What a treat it would be to be able to put down my crutches in time for Easter Sunday and walk again on my own! (I am doubtful but one can hope.) Sharing with 52 Photos Project :: Petals
