Fort Making Time {this moment}


This disheveled heap of blankets and pillows which has taken over my kitchen nook symbolizes one simple fact ~ school is out for summer. My boys are home, all day, everyday for the next three months and I am ready to slow down, sit still and savor their ultimate boyishness.

Even if it means I have to sip my coffee elsewhere for a while.

    We still have another week and a 1/2 of school but I have noticed the forts have started already. :-) BTW, love the windows and view in your room!

      Yes - I think build a fort is on everyone's Summer Bucket List! I guess I can check that box. :) And thanks for the windows comment - we love sitting there in the morning and chatting while we savor that first cup of coffee.

Petals :: 52 Photos Project

Where I live the Bradford Pears have bloomed and blown and the Cherry Blossoms are in full blossom.  Even though that means our allergy season is now officially underway, I cannot help opening our windows every morning in hopes of hearing the birds singing to greet the day.  Springtime has conveniently coincided with my personal recovery process from knee surgery.  As I am slowly re-gaining mobility on crutches it seems an added encouragement that the weather is also improving and the trees are welcoming my return with their flowers. What a treat it would be to be able to put down my crutches in time for Easter Sunday and walk again on my own! (I am doubtful but one can hope.) Sharing with 52 Photos Project :: Petals
